Serj Tankian's long awaited Elect The Dead Symphony album, performed with our very own 70-piece Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra is available next week as a CD/DVD package. Fortunately for us, in Tankian's busy schedule he was able to squeeze in an interview with Libel Music at Ponsonby's Fusion Cafe.

"Guys that make dark music are generally happy in their day-to-day lives; but the guys that do the happy music are really fucked up," chuckles the System of a Down singer. Serj Tankian joined the band VISA on stage of the Troubardor at Novmeber 25th, 2009 to sing a new song, VIKTOR, in his latest collberation with other bands. VISA, have lately singed with Serj's label, SERJICAL STRIKE, and they are ready to release their new album, MADE IN CHERONOBYL, in early 2010. 'VIKTOR' is expeteced to be released in VISA's next album, MADE IN CHERONOBYL, and Serj will be singing in the album version. [Watch HD pro-shot official video was released by VISA yesterday]

Khatchadour Tankian, the father of Serj Tankian will be releasing his debut album, Inchbes Moranak, will be out in December at selected record stores, ITunes and online at Serjicalstrike.com Serj tankian official myspace has posted this bulliten earlier: "Hello my fellow tofu turkey gobblers, I want to wish you and your families a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving. Please take the time to be thankful for all the good in your lives on this holiday. Being that the holidays are a time for being with family, I felt it appropriate to update everyone about a project near and dear to my heart, the debut album by my dad, Khatchadour. Serj to re-release SERART

Serj Tankian will be re-releasing the joint project between him and Armenian awarded musician, Arto Tuncboyaciyan, entitled "Serart" later this month, April 21st.

Originally produced by Serj and Arto, SERART – DELUXE EDITION now includes two previously unreleased remixes by Bill Laswell and Jimmy Urine (Mindless Self Indulgence).

An eclectic array of textured tracks, SERART – DELUXE EDITION mixes Middle Eastern melodies with Pan-African rhythms while shifting from classical motifs to bursts of percussion.
