I had the old STA! demos on the other day, and during the second verse of 'Everytime', around the bit where Serj says "the bottom line is money...", there is an underlying set of lyrics, spoken by Serj, that continues up to the chorus. These words are not present in the album version - they're replaced by Daron's reliable 'ahhhhhhh'ing.
So I ask you, because I have no idea: what are those lyrics? |

um i think u mean this:
Modern globalization
coupled with condemnations
unnecessary death
matador corporations
puppeting your frustrations with a blinded flag
manufacturing consent is the name of the game
the bottom line is money, nobody gives a fuck
4.000 hungry children leave us per hour from starvation
while billions are spent creating death showers |

No I know that bit. The bit I don't get is in the demo version, and is playing in the background of that verse. I needed damn good speakers to even hear it.
Okay what I hear, sung quite slowly is 'Overbearing advertising, consumer rights... da dad da da da, da dada da da (in tune with the riff!) We'll all not not go home again... |

"Overbearing advertising, human ... mirrorism, da da da da da, .. again!"
I've understood this.

| When you said you say the second verse of Everytime, do you not mean 'Boom!'? |

| Well yeah I do - just thought referring to it as Everytime would make people know I meant the demo and NOT the STA! version |

I definitely hear the hopes and dreams bit now, but I'm thinking it may be consumerism, not humorism - it would make more sense, I think...
And you're right - it should have been left in. |

Oh yeah he does say consumerism HAHAHAH
I put my ear right next to the speakers yesterday and I still didn't hear the 'Con-'. No more loud music for me...
See we can all help eachother to figure this out |

Overbearing advertising, God of consumerism - quoted from the boom lyrics...on STA!
thats actually part of the first verse if you didnt notice. so i think it would make sense that hes just mumbling the first verse in the background of the second verse... |
