interesting!
I don't totally agree with this,though.guess it's been a breakthrough compared to St.Anger
I mean, generally yes.the album is nothing fantastic, but it's got two or three really good songs, and the album is much better than St.Anger |

Rubin did not mix or master, or else those lyrics would be pretty good.
Produced by Rick Rubin
Mixed by Greg Fidelman, Andrew Sheps
Mastered by Ted Jensen
Apparently, Ted Jensen said the mix was ruined in the final stages.

Well I didn't write it, I just found it cleverly written. |

I'll have to agree.I can't see any relation between Rubin and Jensen.
Does Rubin even have a team?
Oh, and...

And what´s with Jason Newsted ?

but they don't have the same attitude behind the music, no real anger or ferocity in it. the return to the old sound is completely synthetic, completely dishonest to themselves
I think the reason for this is they are too fed up . I mean they have their fortunes , their sure income , their save lives .
You can´t be ( and sound ) so angry and ferocious when everything in your life is save .
everything in my life is far from safe, saved, or whatever form of "save" you were trying to put across. that gives me every right to be angry and ferocious, and sound just as such. you can't be counting money after a sold out show and getting blown in your hotel room and write dark thoughts and good songs. look at james hetfield, the guy evaded death, overcame alcohol addiction, he's fine now. so why the hell is he still performing and writing songs? cause he wants your money, and making everybody think that he still has it will get him your money. i'm not stupid. i know the lyrics in his songs are lies. therefore, they are sellouts. |
