I know he auditioned but i want to know if there is any news on this or if he was actually chosen for the band...

Look a few post below in this forum and you'll find:

"John Dolmayan Side Project"
Read them both and you'll know what Johns doing.
Billy has already chosen a drummer for the Smashing Pumpkins and it isnt John.
John is currently rehearsing with a new band. |
