| You know what john and the other guys were lauphing about on the tour vlog youtube video was an email from daron before he had made up his mind saying he is thinking of quitting the band. They thought it was a joke and were cracking up |

If this is some sort of a joke, then I don't get it...
April Fool's Day is long gone...
And Daron is not Andy Kaufman either.....
SO it really better be some serious matter...
And can't just leave it unexplained....
I am really pissed right now....
Maybe cause I bought 10 tickets for my entire gang..??!!!!
But NO....
I just really wanted to see these guys and possibly meet them... |

I simply cannot accept his excuse of having personal problems and important things that need his personal attention .
Damn....everybody has personal issues...but not everyone quits and leaves everything
because of that .
Normal people can´t afford that .
In my opoinion he rather behaves like a spoiled single child .
So many fans were working their asses off .Some even had holiday jobs to get the money for the show . He is leaving alone not only fans , but his bandmembers , too. |

So the recent "Anonymous" posts from the Sob site.. Very interesting.
In the posts they spelled John's name.. Jon just like Franky's sister did during her posts in this topic.
Not sure if anyone else noticed that and already commented on it but.. I don't have the time to read back ten pages to when I last posted here.
Anyway it was the first thing I noticed upon reading.
Now I would say I'm more shocked that this is all happening then angry like I was before.
And saddened because this flew out of no where and crushed thousands of peoples dreams. |

This is exactly how I feel. You plan out a WHOLE tour, and then seemingly decided to cancel all the shows one morning? With no plans of rescheduling, regardless of how hard fans worked for their tickets? Whatever, I don't really care about what happens now, because whatever it is, I can't imagine it being good. |

Holiday jobs to get money for the show? I can see that if you were traveling for the show, but the tickets themselves were no more than $30 tops. It wasn't an expensive show to begin with, but a refund is in mind, which I don't mind. Also, for the fans that did go out and promote like I did, if you won backstage passes, I believe you will get backstage access if Scars was to ever tour again for the hard work you previously endured. If not, than I feel very sorry. I know I put a lot of work in what I did, but you know, it was my decision and I had fun doing it either way because I was promoting someone I liked.
If Daron wanted to stop the band and call it quits for personal reasons, than that's his business. He doesn't owe the fans an explanation of the personal reasons other than it is personal, therefore, he is allowed to have his privacy. He will give the fans a refund so he isn't ripping the fans off. We got a CD of new material out of the deal and some live performances. I understand that this sucks and is unexpected of Daron, but he wouldn't quite because he didn't feel good. That makes no sense what so ever. I believe something is seriously up.
Also, I believe he may be a bit aggravated with the fact that he was pummeled with "when is SOAD going to get back together!?!" questions left and right and is probably why the original statement was he didn't have the heart to keep continuing. Maybe he felt no one wanted to take this band seriously and believed it was just a solo act. This wasn't a solo act, this was an actual band. This was Daron's band. So, the questions may have sent him over the edge a bit.
My sympathy goes out to the other band members for losing there parts in a phenomenal band and experience. Hopefully Daron will resume his career with Scars on Broadway eventually, and if not, I will still respect him as a musician for all the things he has done to influence me and so many others. If it wasn't for Daron, I probably would look at the guitar differently than I do now. The man may be a dick in front of cameras and may be random at times, but he does things for a reason, and not just to be a dick or just out of the blue so he can "sit at home and smoke pot all day". Some of you people just need to realize that maybe he is going through something tough is life, and though many of us just can't quite and have to keep going, Daron has worked enough to earn the right to just up and quite if he needed to if a personal problem came to be.
Let the man be and stop bashing him. Whatever his decision is, it's most likely for the best. |

If that's the case, then he lost this "battle". I can understand being annoyed and hearing the same questions day in and day out, but if he just gave up like that... it doesn't look too good. At all. You don't just give up on your fans because something like that sent you "over the edge". So, I honestly doubt that had anything to do with this. If it did, then I'll dislike him even more. |

Alright, than keep on disliking. But, what I stated in your quote is not a soul reason all in itself, he may have put thought behind it. Again, though, it's something I believed and Daron may have just tuned the questions out and could care less about what others said, which seems more logical. No one knows how he feels but him.
Fact is, you and a lot of others are getting ticked of at Daron for having personal problems and it's kind of BS. Let the man be and leave it at that. If this has caused you not to be a fan anymore than quite complaining on the forums about how much it devastated. This man owes you nor anyone a detailed explanation. He apologized, he will give you back the money you rightfully earned and he told you it is personal problems and please be understanding. Being in a crap mood right now and complaining about this is not going to bring back the tour and all this winning about how cheated you feel is not going to change the decisions already made.
It sucks this happened, but it's life and we must deal.
By the way, this wasn't just directed all towards you Jizzlobber, so I don't want you to believe it was, and if it seems that way, I am sorry. I'm just a bit tired is all. |

Nah, that's fine. I understand your point completely, and believe it or not, I'm not angry at Daron for having some personal issues he needs to attend to right now, as much as I would have preferred a better explanation or a more sincere-sounding apology. I guess the only reason I'm still upset is because I had big plans for that evening, and now they're squashed, and it was gonna be the first time in a long while that I was going to go out and socialize. Oh well, shit happens.
PS, Voodoo_Blues, if you're reading this... why yes, I am the platinum. I consider that a huge compliment, so thank you.  |

| Here IS the reason I believe that the person who posted on the scars website without giving away his identity is a person who is registered at soadfans. Anyone remember the guy that posted at soadfans a while back who ran into daron at disneyland and got a picture of him and a guitar pick..... |
