" He was a normal young man from the Saarland region of Germany, who loved to party and play football.
Then something in his mind changed - Eric Breininger (21) converted to Islam and took off for Afghanistan to receive training as a suicide bomber
Now German security officials are sounding the alarm: Breininger may be back in Germany and could be set to carry out a terrorist attack. The BKA (Germany’s federal police force) is on the hunt for the young man and has a warrant for his arrest.
“We have up-to-date information that Breininger, his friend Houssain al-Malla and most likely a third person, are on their way to Germany,” a BKA spokesman said.
Security agencies have told BILD that Breininger and his terrorist friends reportedly attempted to commit a suicide bomb attack in Turkey.
Most recently, they were seen in the Bosnian city of Zenica and on September 20, the BKA sent out a notice, warning all German government agencies and authorities.
The BKA fears that Breininger is on his way to Germany or, worse, already here. Investigators have labelled the terrorist as “extremely dangerous . " ------------
Since it isn´t the first german who has been in a terrorist training camp ,
I am asking :
What motivates those guys ? Why does a young mid-european
convert to Islam and wants to become a suicide bomber ?
Any suggestions ? |

| Well its really sad, but its not the first case, there has been a lot of them, and before anyone says anything, i just hope everyone knows theres a difference between a muslim, and a terrorist. |

Of course there is but sadly enough you still have to point that out to many people.
We had a case in our town where a German women married a muslim who turned out to be a little more than an extremist, and her son got sucked right into it, he was 16 I think. He ended up breaking off school for "extensive religious studies" and was never heard of again.
I really don't know what motivates them, but then again, what motivates all the young guys and girls to shave their heads and beat up foreigners? Some are really convinced that whatever they believe in is right, others are just really perceptive and fall victim to recruiters. |

I guess that's option for school shootings... kill anybody them. (?)
Maybe they felt lacking something...meaning for their life. They wanted to be part of something "meaningful" (?)
But I guess they weren't upper class kids. (?)
I really don't know. |

i think, they feel powerful, and that power and the respect other ppl have to them makes them kind of crazy...you know what iam trying to say??
here in germany someone was caught yesterday or the day before thet maybe planed a impact in a plane...i think it was in frankfurt...but i dont know, they caught him IN the plane...thats so damn scary...the terrorist actually was IN the plane when he was caught some moments later. |

I dont really understand, he's 21 and got training in Afghanistan?
I thought Afghanistan has been invaded and controlled since 2003, which means from 5 years, when that youngman was 16
did he get his training thing before that? when he was like 15? if its after how the hell did he enter the country with all the troops supposedly there?

I just noticed there was mentioned Afghanistan in that article . I guess they put it wrong .
later news said , they have been in a camp in Pakistan - which is more probable.

dbp91 - it was Cologne and it was a KLM plane , but they didn´t plan to blow off or hijack that plane . It was simply the fact that police took them out of the plane before the start and so all the passsengers got very disturbed , because they had to leave the plane ,too .

The 72 of the Muslims is like the 3 of the Christians, if you know what I mean.^^
The number 72 actually appears quite often in Islam. |
