I don't care how big it is because I know exactly how big it is. WWE isn't real fighting at all. Boxing, Martial arts, REAL wrestling, and possibly UFC have a sort of decency unlike WWE. Come on how is fighting with chairs and garbage cans considered fighting? If you did that on the street you'd be arrested. And don't bullshit me with all these Don't try this at home stuff because I know for a fact kids are influenced by this.

You are completely missing the point. The reason WWE is popular isn't the fighting. It is the entertainment. The Soap Operas and Spectacle makes people tune in not the fake fighting, which by the way is very, very dangerous as I did a few training camps for pro-wrestling just to see what it's like (it was extremely hard, a lot harder for me than making music that works ). It sounds cliche but it hurts and the people that are good at it are really athletic. It is hard to perfect. Almost like dancing I would say.
Yes it influences some people to do stupid things, a bit like, well, um, everything.
I don't even watch wrestling anymore, I just think you are completely missing the point.
I don't really care for UFC, but I can recognise it is a different art to master. A completely different animal... and if you did what the UFC stars did on the street you would either be arrested for performing a sexual act publically or GBH/Assault.
At the end of the day it would have only benefited SOAD to be involved with wrestling as it would expose them to a massive audience. I'm sure it would increase album sales and make them better business (which is definetly a bonus). I don't think it would dented the reputation as wrestling isn't regarded a lowest common demoniator anymore. It has become one of the most sucessful TV shows in history and goes a lot further than being just white trash.
Whoever said wrestlers are homesless hicks are talking shit as well. A lot of them are millionaires and are usually travelling so would be more likely to stay in a hotel. |

^I think besides wrestlers becoming stars from the WWE, they do put in a lot - like you said about the training. Their bodies go through hell, training and/or in the ring on TV. And it's what they love to do, and of course there are some if not all or most of them that love it for being there as an inspiration or idol. Not in the famous kind of way. They give back, so to speak.
Personally, why I said SOAD wouldn't fit is kind of the aura of the 'entertainment' aspect of the WWE. I see a lot of support the troops and political jargon, even though it's scripted, whatever... and most people do support the troops, but I don't know if they would be willing, due to their morals and their personal beliefs, even if it DOES give them exposure.
That's just me, that's how I see it. I can't speak for them, though. |

its not just that, its pretty much a live movie as said before. Its less 'violent' than it use to be (WWE is striving for a PG rating on all its shows). its entertaining, it gives back to the troops, make-a-wish, and all that jazz.

Again, you are totally missing the point. It is mainly the stupid soap opera and big scale/lavish events that pulls viewers, not the actual wrestling.
Besides, I find it more entertaining than UFC, where it's wherever you can get a punch or kick in, or alternatively mount your opponent before clobbering so it looks like some kind of serious sexual abuse. |
