This seems like back in July when a guy stabbed and beheaded a fellow passenger on a Greyhound busin Manitoba, but this time with a twist: The police actually put this man on the bus! He apparently requested psychological help and was deemed harmless and when he asked to go home they bought him a ticket and put him on the bus.
One would think they would have some sort of security measures after the incident in July. Well, I sure am glad I don't have to take the bus to the airport since Greyhound doesn't take pets. |

What? Nobody likes our buses?
I heard about this on the radio this morning, I was pretty shocked that something like this happened AGAIN. But I don't anyone died from this incident.
Damn, I never knew that we were so "dangerous" |

If you ever sat in one of those dingy things crammed between sweaty rig workers for 20 hours you might understand this a little. O_o
But seriously, Canada is really tame when it comes to violence. The murder rate for this whole region is like 2 per year. We had a shooting in broad daylight here last year and the shooter was a tourist.
If you look at it, Greyhound has pretty good standards when it comes to their drivers and passenger safety. I've seen them throw out people mid-way because they drank on the bus. That's a no-no. And they don't let you take firearms, but I don't know how they will keep people from taking knives unless they start having security checks like at the airport. |

| Wow. I guess Canada has had it's violence for the year then. It must be annoying for them to get all this publicity when these things happen once in a blue moon when it happens so much in other places and barely a mention there. |

Canada has it's share of violence.. You just don't hear about it because America over shadows it. Honestly we got such a great history and it seems like no one seems to realize it.
I mean come on man we kicked ass in World War I and II |

Yeah I always thought Canada was a safer place to live than most. Guess you're fine as long as you don't decide to take a bus anywhere.
Huzzah for cars! |

| IMHO, I think this is an isolated incident and the person who was killed just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The authorities did what they thought was best. The media, however, is trying to put them in a bad light making it seem as if they knew this was going to happen and they let him on the bus anyway. My heart goes out to the families of the victim and the murderer. |
