Why don't many people discuss the Greek Genocide? It happened around the same time as the Armenian.

shouldn't this go to toxicity scartch

I don't know anything about Greek genocide so google -> wikipedia

I'd say 'cause there died less Greeks than Armenians and there's no one to talk about it, tell about it. I probably hadn't heard a shit of Armenian Genocide without system...Our picture of past is build up on lies, secrets, my government is trying to lick everyone's ass 'cause they are cowards, they say they're 'neutral' whether Genocide (Armenian) occur. I'd say they're on Turkish side 'cause they're bigger...

The reason , why all western states seem to be "on turkish side" is not cowardice .
It is just a political and military reason .
The U.S. for example have an air - base in Turkey , to have better control in the middle -east .

And , yes Jen ...you are right.....this should go to Toxicity-forum

I can understand you .
In my eyes it is annoying , how Turkey denies everything until today .
It makes the nation of turkey seeming so dumb and stubborn .
They don´t teach it at school . They are twisting history .
I live in a country with many turkish citizens ( Germany ) and whenever
I mention the Genocide to a Turk he/she gets either angry and/or states to know nothing.

As a nation how does someone deny an entire history (little yet your own history) of massacring people and taking land? I mean the United States atleasts admits we killed the Indians and put Japanese people into interment camps and enslaved black people, why is Turkey so stubborn to admit their past?

So much years of denial...maybe they think they will loose their pride , when they admit it now ..
maybe it is in their mentality , I don´t know for sure .
It would be a huge task , to teach all the millions of turkish people , that they were informed completely wrong .
As you have probably seen ( the imprisoning of Orhan Pamuk , the killing of Hrant Dink)
there are radical forces against unveiling the truth .
They are perceiving the truth as dishonor for Turkey .

I am half Greek and take offense to that^ Wink

Basically it wasn't really a "genocide." I am not sure enough Greeks died... Turkey did invade Greece and even took part of the land that once belonged to Greeks. What my family once owned in Greece was taken. Apparently they were pretty wealthy too but ha I'll never know what that was like now! My grandmother's family fled to Australia (weird, right?) when she was an infant. Then my grandmother got married to an American Greek and moved to Pennsylvania. Now here I am in Virginia....
