Boom. No doubt.
Like cigaro said up there, SOAD has changed my life for sure. I speak out SO MUCH MORE in class. I have always been outgoing, but within the last year it hasn't been about the usual random stuff. It's now often political. |

Well I cant remember where but somewhere I read that "Chop Suey" was written about some celebrity who died of natural causes and then the media said that he overdosed and just partied himself to death or something....So the line "I cry when angls deserve to die." would be talking about how this good man's reputation(which was as pure as snow, hence the word angel) was tarnished by the media(which in turn killed the angel, or his pure reputaion.). And S.O.A.D was just sick of the media portraying good people as bad, and bad people as good.
But hey you cant belive everything you read...
I mean the song did have a line from the bible and whatnot, so i think it might have a deeper meaning then that. |

| the first son i've heard was Chop S. and it happened that lyrics just sticked to me and i started thinking: why were the angels crying. then searched for lyrics, 'cause i couldn't distinguish all the words and u know... there are still some uncertainties about it for me... So answering the subj question i say "the very 1-st song i've heard immediatly made me thinking" |

Probably Sugar. It was the first song I heard by them, and I remember thinking they couldn't be yelling about absolutely nothing So I started analyzing lyrics with my friend. Now I do that for any song, SOAD or not. |
