Think as in...you know...Think about the lyrics, the meaning of the song, what inspired them to write the song..
I would have to say the first song that really got me wondering about the lyrics would have to be Spiders. First time I heard it I was in 7th grade and the line "The V-chips give them sight" got me wondering "What?!The V-chip!? Thats the one thingy they put in my t.v making it so I can't watch south park..What could Serj possibly be talking about?"
So did my research. Subliminal Advertising, Genocide, The Watergate Incident, The said "suger" in which "Sugar" is talking about.
And from there on out ive been talking System with all my freinds.Discussing meaning and imagery and whatnot..
So back to my original question...
What was the first S.O.A.D song that made you "THINK" |

I never cared about lyrics until Steal this Album came out, so it'd have to be BOOM! after seeing the video, it was this moment where I changed as a person... Before this, I was for the war, I was semi-racist.. I am ashamed to admitt this... After this song, I opened my eyes to what was around me.. And finally realizing the things I say hurts people... And I needed to quit
Soad has honestly changed my life |

I know what you are meaning .
The song , that got me into really studying SOAD-lyrics was the song "Toxicity".
Because I began to listen to SOAD when the Toxicity-CD came out .
the lines that got me questioning was : "eating seeds ...." |

| I will close my eyes and turn and point randomly at one song. But since it was Aerials that I heard first back when it came out, why don't I go with that. The lyrics really impressed me and still do. |

Boom. No doubt.
Like cigaro said up there, SOAD has changed my life for sure. I speak out SO MUCH MORE in class. I have always been outgoing, but within the last year it hasn't been about the usual random stuff. It's now often political. |
