Serj is saying that Daron has become obsessed with money, and that the only reason he is in SOAD anymore is so he can receive more "MONEY!" Serj thinks all D cares about is money, and the only reason SOAD exists anymore is for "MONEY!"

Serj doesn't like this, so he basically says "Screw your money. I don't want any of it, you can keep it."

Serj is sick of being in SOAD and sick of Daron (waning patience). Serj is pissed (Disposition).

While Serj does not care about "all the attractions" of fame (this possession...), Daron has gone crazy(Dancing bears...), lured by promises of money, sex, and fame. He (wrongly) only thinks about himself (Self absorbed delusion). Because he has become so crazy, he is bringing worthless stuff to the band. (inclusion...)
I now await the triumphant

Serj waits for a "triumphant" time when he can escape SOAD (the train at the station takes him away from SOAD/Daron).

The reason people are complaining about Serj's voice/Mez Hyp (ineptitude) is because Serj is forced to be in SOAD (mandatory...), so his heart is not in it, and therefore, he can't perform well.

Possibly the most obvious lyric in the song, Serj is saying that Daron's tyranny has turned SOAD into a dictadorship. System of a Down has become the Tyranny of a Down, and Serj no longer wants to be a part of it. |

| i can see where your coming from with this, but it just dosnt make scence that daron could be that into money. ppl who are only in things for money are usually lazy and just get it done to get the money. Mez/Hyp is anything but a lazy sounding album! and daron always seems like hes havin a good time on stage. i can see that some of the lyrics seem to be traced to SOAD, but i cant see daron as being a money crazed tyrant. and im also pretty sure that serj and daron are really tight and always have been. so good interpretation, but i dont think its true. |

how am i not respecting your thoughts? im just saying i think differently.
its not like...however you think thats what everyone else has to think. its just your own opinion on the song. as for me, i dont see it that way. as in my own opinion.
this shouldnt even be carrying on further then this. shouldnt be such a big deal. take it easy. |
