I just got home from Ser's first Elect the Dead concert....Wow....holy fuck, that was easily the bens tnight of my life. as I said, I would record the show, and I did, but the quality came out horribly.. . If you still want to hear it, I can put it on megaupload of something. It's in like 4 files, with Tom Morrelo and Serj. It for some reason stopped in the middle of the show and i didnt relise it, and I think it didn't get Honking Antelope in there. But, Anyways...
We stood in line for a good two hours, holding my "SOADFANS.COM" sign, hoping to grab someone's attantion, which A few people noticed and gave some positive input to. As I entered, they took them and threw them away though . The show started out with Tom Morrelo's mommy speaking into the mic (didn't see that one coming lol) and she introduced her son, Tom. Tom gave a speech and started his list of United States rebel-related songs. After he finished playing, we waited a gruesome 45 minutes for Serj to appear. as I had guessed, they started off with The Unthinking Majority (which I must add, is MUCH better live). as far as i can remember, the entire show included:
The Unthinking Majority,
Empty Walls,
Saving Us,
feed us,
Betoven's Cunt,
Honking Antelope,
Baby (someone threw a hat at Serj in the intro speech of the song),
Lie lie lie,
a redone version of Charades (simply amazing)
Praise the lord and Pass the Ammunition,
Holiday in Cambodia (Yeah!),
and Elect The Dead.
At the end of the show Serj said "As much as I ove our country, I don't beleive in countries. As much as I love our flag, I don't beleive in flags. As Much as I love my boarders, I do not beleive in borders."
Someone else who was there-- please write a better review than me! |

Seemed like an awesome night! Now I'm even more excited to go to the concert. Were they selling any merchandise there or not? |

| they sold t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts, posters, and Tom morrelo CD's. about 3 people passed out on me during the show...in the first song lol. I dragged one guy out and he yelled something like "I HAVE TO GO BACK!" and ran back in the mini- mosh pit..lol |

thanks. The merch is pretty damn expensive. $30 for a t shirt, $25 for a hat, $ 55 for a sweater, but the poster comes free with a purchase.
(im uploading audio now) |

Neato. I'm definitely buying the hat, MAYBE the shirt... depends on how much I'm allowed to take. But thanks, can't wait to hear the audio. Maybe you should post that in the downloads section? I dunno. |

That's pretty expensive for a hat, average for a t (at a concert anyway) but a good deal for a sweater! Wolfmothers were like $70 (and they'll be cheaper up here with that soaring Canadian dollar )
Can't wait for the audio, poor quality or not, it'll kick ass! |
