It depends on the thickness of your scar and the skills of the tattoo artist if you can tattoo over it at all, just throwing that out there  The tissue underneath is ruptured and might lead the ink to bleed, resulting in a screwed up tat.
Do some research online for bass clefs to get some ideas and take them to a tattoo artist in your area and see what he/she can come up with. Same goes for the positioning, even though with that kind of motive you could place it pretty much everywhere.And if you're unsure about it or just want a tattoo for the sake of having one... Those are usually the best candidates for a coverup later. Or as of late, laser removal. Expensive, hurts like shit and you never get rid of the thing completely. |

I don't regret my tattoos. I have a Rammstein logo on my right shoulder, Manny from Grim Fandango on my inner left arm and a skull on my left shoulder blade.
Go with whatever you think is the tattoo you're least likely to regret when you're 60, plus if it means something to you then all the better.
Though I'm sure a pentagram on your cock is going to hurt like a bitch |

| The only advice I have is to get something that really has a significant meaning to you. I wouldn't recommend getting a tattoo for the sake of getting a tattoo. Otherwise, I'd also consider saving up and not simply going to a decent place, but rather a really fucking great one, otherwise you might regret it if the artist ends up sucking balls. I also agree with Rike, it's probably best not to tattoo over the scar. |

do u think it would be too girly if i got the bass clef under my wrist of my left arm, lik near wher u slit ur wrist, and treble clef on the other wrist underside? is that too girly? |

My mom won't let me get a tatto when I'm 16.
She let my stepsister though (On the other hand, she looked about 18 hen she was 16), but whatever. I just want a tiny butterfly on my right ankle. |
