Ok, here's
Chapter 3
I was wondering how different my birth was than an average hunting, when I heard a strange sound."He's waking up" - I thought to myself and looked at the bed.
And...yes, the body wasn't just lying there anymore.
He sat up and slowly opened his eyes. Those warm, deep brown eyes, that caught me always when I looked into them. They were the same, but somehow different though.
D. stared at me, his face reflected surprise and confusion.
- Where am I? Ha...
- No, my name is Morganna now. Do you remember the last night?
- Not really... - his voice was stuttering.
- I'm not surprised, it was a long night.
- Hmmm... are you saying that we... hope not!
- Come on! - I laughed at him - Don't you feel that everything has changed?
And for some long minutes we didn't say a word just stared at each other. Then the signs of fear and revelation started to show up on his face.
"Yes, it's time to tell him the truth."
- Listen to me carefully! I am not the person who you knew. I am a vampire for a long time. That's why we didn't meet in the past few years until this day. And now I'll be your master and you'll be my follower. We'll live the wonderful life of the night's creatures together.
- Why? - he asked me this only one question.
- Because we're meant to be together. That's our destiny. You know it. That's why I gave you the gift of eternal life.
"He must know it. He must feel that our destinies are one and inseparable."
- Please leave me alone now.
- Well, allright then. But I'll return soon. You have to learn a lot of things.
And I went out to the streets. It was night, time for some hunting.
On that night it went easily, my victim didn't resist at all.
After that I walked for a long time and I was wondering about the past.
After my creation, Serge tended to be a passionate master and I a perfect student. I learnt how to pounce on my victims quickly and efficiently.
The first occasion was hard but then... every time the hunger rises in me, the monster starts to rage inside. And when I suck the blood of my victims and it spreads in my body, an endless euforia catches me. I feel myself incredibly strong and unbeatable.
But there is a strange thing: beside the monster something human remained in me. By this I am a member of a special race.
Serge is just like me. In the first days he only considered me his student, but I quickly found out that behind this lays something different feeling: something deep - almost (or completely) love.
- But how come? How can you feel anything? You are a monster! - that was my reaction.
He was patient and explained it all:
- Vampires are not all the same. Some are just monsters. But we represent an ancient high class race, who kept a part of their human side: their mind and soul. That's why we are able to feel.
- Was that the reason of my turning to a vampire?
- No, because I didin't know you well. I just felt that you have the energy and power which a vampire needs. I picked you from the crowd.
He didn't suspect how good he did to me. As he didn't have an idea how our relationship would come to its end.
"But now I have to concentrate other things. I must go back to D." - it came to my mind and I started to walk back to the appartment.
I walked slowly, enjoyed the silence of the dark night. I felt that this is exactly my place, amongst the creatures of the darkness. Because I never fitted in the human society. |
