Rarely if ever do I drop the term “artist” about anybody in modern music. The music world for the most part is a decadent decaying whorehouse that needs to be burned to the ground a rebuilt. That being said Serj Tankian is a true artist. Not only am I a huge fan of his music but Serj is an inspirational person to know and a great example of what can be done to change the world. Serj just released his solo album “Elect The Dead” and he took time out of his busy schedule to talk to Our Worlds At War.

 The day of October 22 was a cold dreary day as opposed to the day before with
its sunny climate. But as people in Texas would say, 'where else but Texas would
it be hot and warm one day and then freezing cold the next'.
My sister and I
arrived at the Granada Theater around 7 pm where we managed to park semi close to
Serj Tankian’s tour bus which was parked right there at the back entrance of the
Granada.
After I took a couple of pictures of the tour bus, we made our way
along the side of the theater to the front, where there were a few people
milling around the entrance and there was a small line at the left. We made our
way to the line to pick up my VIP tickets that my good friend ZAk had gotten for
me on my birthday the 22nd of October. |

 Well,
what can I say. I night to remember, surprisingly not because of the Foos.
It started off entering the venue an around 2.30pm, to get merch, look round and
most importantly get to the front for Serj Tankian. This being my first time
seeing any member of System, being an absolutely massive fan (in a very short
period of time), I had to be at the front.
The venue is fantastic, lots of stuff to do- shops, cinema, restaurant, ice
rink, other concert halls. Really fantastic staff and a fucking huge arena.
Unfortunately there is nothing to do when you are queing for the standing
section but stare ahead at the playstation 3 demo area. |
