Though leaked track is a hit, they're not making it an official single.
BURBANK, California — "You know how when you meet someone as a little boy and he turns into a man, you will always remember the little boy?" System of a Down guitarist Daron Malakian asked recently.
"Well, we've got that," he continued. "You remember what our roots are. As we grow up as men, you can see that we are evolving, but you remember us as little boys."
So explains what to expect from System's upcoming ambitious double album, Mezmerize/Hypnotize. |

Metal Edge Magazine got an interesting interview with the band from their studio, thanks for soadomized.com for writing the complete interview. This clearly isn't a routine listening session after all--No, this is L.A.'s Armenian-American art-metal maestros System Of A Down, previewing selections from the brace of album's they'll be unleashing in the upcoming months (Mesmerize, due in April, and Hypnotize which will follow six months later)
in the Burbank, CA, studio where exhausive mixing is in progress.
The song we're being assaulted with--aurally, mentally and stylistically--is a un-mastered version of "Cigaro." Songwriting for what became Mesmerize and Hypnotize began a couple of years back, and System started rehearsing tghe tunes as a band at the turn of '04.
The tracks were recorded at the Laurel Canyon home of legendary producer Rick Rubin who once again co-helmed the sessions with SOAD guitarist/chief composer Daron Malakian. |

<P dir=ltr style="MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px">Right in the middle of recording the new double album, Hypnotize/Mesmerize, Serj Tankian is sounding tired after a particularly long and grueling session in the studio.
It’s a gentle voice that greets me from the other end of the line, softly spoken, thoughtful and occasionally aloof.
According to an Interview to the australian Beat magazine :
“Man, I’m tired. We’re all working really hard to finish this album. I’ve been working on it all day and it’s 1:30 in the morning here. I’m afraid we’re not going to have it ready (for the Australian tour), but we are probably going to release the first part, Hypnotize in March and then the second part, Mesmerize, will come six months after that." |

According to a hefty soad interview in Kerrang magazine,
"MY COCK IS BIGGER THAN YOURS" is the first line of the first song called "Cigaro" from the new upcoming album 'Hypnotise'.
Other finished songs are "Hypnotise" and "Kill your rock'n'roll!". |
