sweat shirt and jeans? yeah, when u meet an ambassador u think u'd want to dress up. i guess serj is just keeping it real. good for him. the ambassador is right though. i honestly don't think i'd even know about the armenian genocide if it wasn't for soad. they don't talk about that in school.

It's Armenia's Foreign Minister not the ambassador.

i dont see why should he pretend and get all dressed up if he didnt feel like it actually... respect doesnt come from clothes and your appearance

He should of dressed a little formal. At least like nice pants and a jaket instead of jeans. After all he was having a meeting with a high ranking government official. But it's still cool that he went to Armenia and the Foreign Minister invited him to his office to thank him for his and the band's work. I was watching the news and Vartan Oskanyan called Serj "Armenian Ambassador". Serj was acting very serious and was listening very carefully as the FM was talking to him.

I started learning about Armenia and the Armenian Genocide after I heard SOAD. Now I'm writing a term paper of my choice in my Western Civilizations class on the Genocide.

If he was to dress formally it would be totally fake. I believe Serj has respect and doesn't need to show it with visual appearance.
